Mac Jones had himself a day.
The New England Patriots quarterback was in the media for the wrong reasons leading into this weekend as he was being lambasted for rolling the ankle of Brian Burns in a win over Carolina. There were those calling him dirty and saying other defensive ends would be coming for him.
In Week 10, he was sacked twice but it had very little impact on the game as Jones was 19-of-23 with 198 yards and three picks. He also had no turnovers as he led his Patriots to a 45-7 win against the Cleveland Browns.
Rhamondre Stevenson also got in on the fun as the Patriots running back ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns and even Brian Hoyer came in and threw a touchdown in garbage time.
New England was written off following a 1-3 start but they have now won four in a row — and it could have been six if not for a CeeDee Lamb touchdown against Dallas in Week 6.
Looking ahead, they don’t have too tough of a schedule outside of their two games against Buffalo and a date with Indianapolis. This team is 6-4 and could make a run to the postseason. None of us saw this coming after the first month of the season.
