Oldest NFL players No. 2. Andrew Whitworth, OT, Rams
Born: December 12, 1981 (Age: 39)
Given the rigors of the NFL, it’s hard to believe that someone whose job is in the trenches is still playing at a Pro Bowl level at the age of 39 going on 40 in just a few weeks from the time of this writing.
Andrew Whitworth has been somewhat of an iron man at the left tackle position throughout his career. Since he came into the league in 2006, he has only missed 16 games in total.
For an offensive lineman, that’s nothing short of a miracle.
Whitworth currently has the job of blocking for the blind side of Matthew Stafford with the Los Angeles Rams, one of the best teams in the entire league this season.
A four-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-Pro, Whitworth has been underrated throughout his NFL career as one of the most consistent players at one of the game’s most important positions.
