Denver Broncos add more depth to secondary in mock draft

Team speed.

The Denver Broncos used a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on Patrick Surtain II who has been absolutely outstanding as a rookie.

The team appeared loaded at cornerback going into the 2021 season but with both Kyle Fuller and Bryce Callahan on one year/the final year of their respective deals, the cornerback position still needs some addressing going forward.

Kyler Gordon is a specimen at the position at six feet tall, 200 pounds, and reportedly with a 42.5-inch vertical jump.

Gordon has been an outstanding special teams player for Washington, being named the team’s special teams MVP both in 2019 and 2020.

Gordon also has a very special 6.52 timed in the three-cone drill, showing really strong change of direction skills. All of those traits show on tape and Gordon could be an excellent value on day two if the Denver Broncos can get him here.
