5th pick – Philadelphia Eagles: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

EDGE. Michigan. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Aidan Hutchinson. 5. 54

The Philadelphia Eagles built a contender leading up to the 2017 season by t ontinually emphasizing the importance of winning in the trenches.

They are still very solid in that regard, but a reload is needed defensively and it starts here with one of the most talented players in this class, Aidan Hutchinson.

Hutchinson has been a terror off the edge with his combination of size, length, and quickness. He would give the Philadelphia Eagles a nice building block up front defensively and in this scenario, a great start to what should wind up being a very impressive haul of picks.

6th pick – New York Giants: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, North Carolina State

31. Pick Analysis. OT. North Carolina State. Ikem Ekwonu. 6. player. Scouting Report

No player is rising in league circles quite like North Carolina State offensive lineman Ikem Ekwonu.

The nasty, athletic offensive tackle would give the New York Giants a solidified bookend to Andrew Thomas and would address a major problem area for this New York Giants team.

The question is, will Daniel Jones be around to reap the benefits of an upgraded offensive line?

Ekwonu has been a force in the running game this year but he’s made strides in pass protection as well and looks the part of a decade-long starter at tackle in the NFL.
