9th pick – Washington Football Team: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

Pick Analysis. Mississippi State. 58. 9. player. Scouting Report. OT. Charles Cross

The Washington Football Team is another very popular quarterback destination in mock draft scenarios, but this is another team with more holes offensively than just what player is under center.

The second-round pick of Samuel Cosmi in 2021 looks like a nice value for Washington so far, but they could still use a boost at left tackle where veteran Charles Leno Jr. is a placeholder for now.

Charles Cross of Mississippi State has played very well this season after some high expectations coming into this year. He has outstanding quickness for a big man and can mirror defensive linemen no matter what their area of strength.

10th pick – Miami Dolphins: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. George Karlaftis. 10. EDGE. Purdue. player. 59

George Karlaftis is not quite on the same tier as Kayvon Thibodeaux and Aidan Hutchinson in this class, but he’s still going to have a really long NFL career.

Especially in a defense like what Brian Flores runs in Miami, I think Karlaftis pairs really well with Jaelan Phillips and that talented defensive front being built in South Beach.

Karlaftis plays with violent hands and constant effort. He will be a productive pro for a long time.
