NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 23. Lamar Jackson to Miles Boykin – Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson has had trouble finding great chemistry with any of his receivers. Hollywood Brown has been the best of the bunch, but the superstar breakout never really came. It’s hard to say he doesn’t have chemistry with Brown, though, as they have the best connection on the team outside of Mark Andrews. Sammy Watkins isn’t having the best season in Baltimore, but that might be the injuries just turning Watkins into mush.

The one receiver many thought could be a breakout candidate was Miles Boykin. He got a few more looks last season and even recorded four touchdowns. He was starting to build a report with Lamar Jackson that could build into something.

It turned out to be nothing. Boykin has one reception this season. Yeah, that’s not good. He was trying to get more of an impact on this roster, but he’s getting a smaller and smaller share of the snaps.

The Ravens possibly showed their hand this offseason when they signed Sammy Watkins. If they were more confident in Boykin’s growth, maybe that signing doesn’t happen. Clearly, Boykin has no chemistry with Jackson despite seemingly starting to build it last season. Sometimes players get to the cusp of chemistry, and then it just falls apart. That’s what happened here.
