NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 20. Ryan Tannehill to any tight end – Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill has been really good since joining the Tennessee Titans. Most people probably don’t remember, but the Titans took a chance on Tannehill to be the backup to Marcus Mariota. Most people hate the trade, but now Tannehill is the Titans’ best chance to make a splash in the AFC. The Titans’ offense runs mostly through Derrick Henry. He’s hurt now, so they have to find other ways to win.

The Titans have Julio Jones and AJ Brown to destroy opposing defenses on a weekly basis. Brown has been awesome this season, and Jones shows flashes but he keeps getting hurt. Jones is building his chemistry with Tannehill, and Brown has some of the best chemistry with his QB in the league. One position Tannehill has no chemistry is the tight end position.

Geoff Swaim is the top tight end on the team. He has just over 100 yards on the season. Anthony Firkser and MyCole Pruitt also have just over 100 yards on the season. That’s three tight ends with different reception numbers but almost exactly the same amount of yards.

The tight end is just not a legitimate pass catching position. If Tannehill is throwing to his tight end, it’s because something else was not open.
