NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 17. Josh Allen to Gabriel Davis – Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have had an incredibly easy schedule this season, which is really hiding any flaws they might have on offense. Having games against the Jets, Dolphins, Texans, Jaguars (that didn’t go well), Washington, and Chiefs would be good for any offensive group.

The Bills wide receiving group isn’t all world like it was last season, but the stats are still really good. Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, and Emmanuel Sanders all have more than 440 yards. Gabriel Davis is the player here who was homegrown and was supposed to turn into a really good compliment to this receiving core, but it just never happened.

Davis has 10 receptions this year. He had basically 600 yards and 35 receptions last season. He had a ton of big plays last season, and the Bills trusted him to make those plays. This season, he has 133 yards after half the season.

Davis was averaging 17 yards per reception last season. This year, he’s down to 13. He’s only gotten past the sticks seven times compared to his 27 first downs all last season. When taking averages into account, he has about half the first downs he had last season. Davis just fell off a cliff, and the Bills would be smart to figure out why.
