NFL: Ranking the worst QB-WR Chemistry in the league: 15. Kyler Murray to A.J. Green – Arizona Cardinals

This one might seem like a reactionary take based on one play that lost the Arizona Cardinals the game against the Green Bay Packers. A.J. Green was facing the crowd when Kyler Murray threw him the ball in the endzone as time was winding down. The catch would have won the Cardinals the game, but Green didn’t even know the ball was thrown.

Look at the picture above. Green is looking back at Murray while the ball is behind him being juggled by the defender who ended up intercepting the ball. It’s one play, but it was a really rough play.

Green has been mostly positive since signing with the Cardinals. He has 456 yards and three touchdowns, but there was a major lack of communication when it mattered the most.

Green hasn’t played since that game. He was on the reserve/COVID-19 list after the game, and he missed last week. Now, he should be back. Can he bounce back from this play? Will Kyler Murray trust him as much? There are a lot of unanswered questions here.
