NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 10. Zach Wilson to Denzel Mims – New York Jets

Going across the hallway to the New York Jets locker room, we find Denzel Mims. The former second-round pick was considered a steal out of Baylor University. His speed would be awesome for a Jets team that was desperate for a weapon like that. Mims could become the next great wide receiver. It hasn’t worked out that way.

This season, Mims is averaging 18 yards per reception. That sounds great, right? Well, he has seven receptions all season. How is that possible?

Mims just never got comfortable in either Jets offense. He’s had multiple different quarterbacks, different head coaches, different offensive coordinators, yet he cannot find a connection with any of it. This kid is too skilled to just let it putter out like this, but it seems like something just doesn’t work with him in the NFL.

Mims hasn’t even scored a touchdown yet in the NFL. He needs to prove he is still the playmaker the Jets thought they were getting to keep his NFL dream alive.
