NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 9. Teddy Bridgewater to Noah Fant – Denver Broncos

Noah Fant was primed for a monster season this year. Teddy Bridgewater was going to look for a reliable pass catcher in this offense, and then Jerry Jeudy got hurt. With Courtland Sutton coming off a major injury, it seemed like the most likely option would be tight end Noah Fant. He was supremely skilled and showed in the past he can catch the ball when it got to him. Most people blamed Drew Lock for not being able to capitalize on his abilities.

This season, he does have three touchdowns, which is tied for his career-high, but it’s not the third-year jump most expected from Fant. He is on pace for receptions and receiving yards that he had last year. That’s… fine.

Is Fant having a bad season? Depends on who you ask. If you are going by some people’s expectations, then yes, his season is falling far below his expectations. He was supposed to turn into a certified weapon this season. He’s not that, yet.

Fant still has half the season to prove this can still be a breakout for him. Bridgewater is now established in the lineup, and the Broncos have proven to be a frisky team on offense. Fant could also get a few more wide-open looks with Jeudy back in the lineup.
