NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 6. Tom Brady to O.J. Howard – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Everyone on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been going off since Tom Brady signed there before last season. Well, everyone but one player. O.J. Howard seemed to be on the cusp of a breakout before Brady came to the Buccaneers. Even when the Bucs traded for Rob Gronkowski, it seemed like the Bucs were going to be making Howard a priority.

Then Howard got hurt. Again. It was the third season in a row he spend the end of the season on the injured list. Last season, he ruptured his Achilles tendon. He never got to be on the Super Bowl run the Bucs went on, and now it seems like he’s a step behind everything else.

The Bucs added so many weapons that there just isn’t enough to go around. They have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Gronkowski, Cameron Brate, Tyler Johnson, and Scotty Miller. There are only so many balls to go around, even if Brady is on a record pace.

It seemed like Howard might be one of the players who got the most out of the Tom Brady addition. He’s shown in the past what he can do with an ultra-talented tight end. It just hasn’t worked the same for Howard.
