NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 5. Justin Fields to Allen Robinson – Chicago Bears

Something just seems wrong with Allen Robinson this season. He was one of the most underrated wide receivers since joining the Bears. He’s been really good no matter how incompetent his quarterback has been. This season, it seems like he can’t get open. When he is open, Justin Fields is having trouble hitting him in stride.

In Week 1, Robinson had 11 targets, and he only turned it into 35 yards. That was the first sign of trouble. He’s on pace for 60 receptions, his lowest number since his first season in Chicago when he missed three games. He’s also on pace for under 700 yards, which would really hurt his value as he tries to move on from his time in Chicago.

Justin Fields isn’t exactly killing it under center, but he has built chemistry with other weapons in this offense. He can make plays as a rookie, and he’s getting better every week. Can Robinson try to snap out of his funk? It’s possible Robinson is hurt, or is he just over trying to make it work in this offense? They need to figure it out because there is a chance to find something between Robinson and Fields that could be a lot of fun.
