NFL: Ranking the worst QB-WR Chemistry in the league: 3. Baker Mayfield to Odell Beckham – Cleveland Browns

Odell Beckham Jr. was so bad at chemistry with his team, they sent him away. The Cleveland Browns told OBJ to go away solely due to his chemistry with Baker Mayfield. They are both very talented, but something just never worked between the two of them. Beckham joined the Browns in 2019, and it never seemed to work. Even in that first year, Beckham had over 1,000 yards, but he only scored four times.

This season, Beckham is healthy, but he has zero touchdowns. That makes no sense after the skill Beckham flashed earlier in his career. His first three years with the Giants might be the best three-year start to a career for a wide receiver in NFL history. This wasn’t a flash in the pan. Beckham was legitimately one of the best.

This one is now over, and sometimes that is the only way to end a bad relationship between a quarterback and a wide receiver. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Getting out is better than sticking with a bad relationship. Speaking of which…
