Quarterbacks to target on Week 12 fantasy football waiver wire

1. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton is back.

Quickly rostered in 47.2 percent of NFL.com leagues, Newton already has five total touchdowns in just one start and a tune-up appearance for the Carolina Panthers.

Down the stretch of the fantasy football season, unless you already have a bona fide QB1 on your roster, Cam could be the difference between winning a championship or not.

2. Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team

Rostered in less than five percent of NFL.com leagues, Taylor Heinicke is a sneaky solid fantasy football play if you’ve got Kyler Murray or Patrick Mahomes on a bye this week.

Heinicke will throw some duds out there, but he also has five multi-touchdown games — two of them with three touchdown passes — and he’s a threat on the ground.

Tight ends to target on Week 12 fantasy football waiver wire

1. Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger loves Pat Freiermuth. That is reason enough to scoop him up on this week’s fantasy football waiver wire.

He’s only rostered in 29.5 percent of NFL.com leagues, which is unbelievable. He’s quickly ascended to top-15 TE status.

2. Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings’ tight end might be the most underrated fantasy tight end out there right now.

He’s currently the 14th ranked tight end by NFL.com and is available in nearly 80 percent of leagues.

The Vikings’ passing attack is heating up and Conklin is a benefactor of that.
