FanDuel DFS NFL Week 12 picks and lineup advice: Quarterback

With quarterbacks like Prescott, Allen, Mahomes, and Jackson all off of the main slate, our options at quarterback are extremely limited this week. Tom Brady ($8200) is going to be the premiere play on the slate, and will likely be the highest rostered quarterback as well. Brady is my favorite quarterback play in cash lineups, as Indianapolis has actually been incredibly weak against the pass, though I would not mind fading him in tournaments for some cheaper options.

I am personally choosing to fade Jalen Hurts ($8400) and Cam Newton ($8000) as while both of these guys can clearly get it done on the ground, neither is going to see heavy pass volume and I project two lower-scoring matchups here, making rushing touchdowns all the more unlikely.

I would much rather save up and play Justin Herbert ($7800) as a much more talented and higher upside play. Though Herbert has been relatively boom or bust this year, I think he can get it done against an average Denver secondary.

These next plays are not for the faint of heart, but Matt Ryan ($7100) is in a great spot against the Jaguars this week. The past two weeks Ryan has five turnovers and zero touchdowns, though all of his serviceable weeks have been in games that the Falcons have kept close.

Ben Roethlisberger ($6600) is coming off his best game of the year and now gets a matchup with the Bengals who are giving up the most fantasy points in the NFL to the quarterback position.

Finally, Zach Wilson ($6200) should be fully healthy and gets a nice matchup with a poor Houston defense. In his six games, he has two very serviceable performances and four that would tank your lineup, but if you think he can throw for 250 yards and two touchdowns he could provide value for your lineup.
