FanDuel DFS NFL Week 12 picks and lineup advice: Tight End

With no Kelce, Waller, or Andrews, our tight end options are extremely limited this week. While George Kittle ($6700) may look pricy because he is the most expensive option on the slate, he is actually a pretty good value against a soft Vikings secondary and is clearly back to being a focal point of this improved Niners offense.

I also love Rob Gronkowski ($6500) this week, as he has actually looked athletic in the games he has played this year, something that could not be said about him last year. I think he finds the end zone at least once this week and could see increased targets with Antonio Brown’s absence.

That is pretty much the extent of the expensive options that I like, but there are some solid punt options as well. Pat Freiermuth ($5300) is far too cheap for the number of targets he is seeing and now gets a fantastic matchup against a weak Cincinnati secondary.

Dan Arnold ($5100) has done nothing but catch targets and get yards, but has yet to find the end zone on the season. I expect there to be plenty of points in this Jacksonville game, so I like Arnold to see ten plus targets.

FanDuel DFS NFL Week 12 picks and lineup advice: D/ST

With the largest spread of the whole week being only 6.5 points, the best value is on the cheaper defenses this week. Even though I like Pittsburgh’s offensive weapons, Cincinnati ($3300) is way too cheap going up against a Pittsburgh team that has almost no big play or shootout potential.

I am personally not afraid to play Tennessee ($3900) or the New York Giants ($3500) against streaking offenses in New England and Philadelphia respectively. I think that these are two very solid defenses that should be involved in low-scoring games, and while there are obviously more expensive defenses that I would rather roster, I would much rather pay up at a more predictable position like quarterback or running back and save up at defense.

FanDuel DFS Week 12 Lineup

  • QB Matt Ryan – $7100
  • RB Cordarrelle Patterson – $7800
  • RB Christian McCaffrey – $9700
  • WR Chris Godwin – $7600
  • WR Chase Claypool – $6500
  • WR Laviska Shenault Jr. – $5600
  • TE Kyle Pitts – $6600
  • FLEX Javonte Williams – $5700
  • D/ST New York Giants – $3500

This is definitely more of a contrarian lineup, as I guarantee most people out there are not looking to stack the Jaguars and Falcons play. With that being said, this is obviously better for a tournament than a cash format, as tournaments are where you want to worry more about roster percentage and make a lineup that stands out from the crowd.

If the Falcons and Jaguars game turns into a shootout, the four players I have rostered from that game should be heavily involved and will almost certainly pay off their cheap salaries. With some other safe plays like McCaffrey and Godwin mixed in there, this lineup could do some serious damage if the cheaper plays hits. Regardless of your eventual lineup, best of luck in your Week 12 DFS endeavors and go make some money!
