42. . . Previous: 17th. San Francisco 49ers. 12. team

Right now, the San Francisco 49ers are one of the hottest teams in the league. They’ve won three in a row and while the Jaguars were one of the teams they knocked off, they also have two impressive wins in the stretch as they beat the Los Angeles Rams to start the streak by a score of 31-10.

Their third win came in Week 12 as they were 5-5 facing another 5-5 club in the Minnesota Vikings. And Minnesota was fresh off a win over the Green Bay Packers which gave them a lot of confidence heading into this one.

Minnesota might have had even more reason for confidence as reports started to surface again before the game that Jimmy Garoppolo could be traded in the offseason.

It’s not the first time such reports have surfaced and Jimmy G continues to ignore them and play well. On Sunday, he had 230 yards passing and a touchdown as he did just enough to help his team get the win. They also had a huge outing from Deebo Samuel who ran it for 66 yards and two touchdowns and rookie Elijah Mithcell also had a touchdown while running for 133 yards.

San Francisco’s defense also was able to do their part as they forced two turnovers and held off Minnesota in the end — including making two huge fourth-down stops.
