2021 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 13
Indianapolis Colts (6-6) at Houston Texans (2-9)
Sunday, December 5, 1PM ET
The Indianapolis Colts may be coming off a disheartening loss, but it was against an outstanding opponent and it went down to the wire. If only the Colts had fed Jonathan Taylor earlier in the game, it may have gone in a different direction.
But that’s in the past. Now the Colts have a matchup with the Houston Texans to look forward to. In all honestly, they couldn’t have asked for a much better game to get a big, bounce-back win. Houston has been awful all year long, and will likely crumble under the pressure of the Colts’ explosive offense.
Even with Tyrod Taylor back in the lineup, the Texans have had a hard time moving the football. Their defense is making plays, but they can’t get the offensive support they need to win games. Against an exceptional Indianapolis defense, I don’t see that suddenly changing.
The Colts are still in the hunt despite the Week 12 loss. As long as they can come to play against the Texans and get the win they seem destined for, they’ll be right back in the race for the seventh seed in the AFC. Putting the ball in hands of Taylor early and often will help make that happen.
Prediction: Colts win 24-16 | Spread: Colts (-9)
