Every NFL stadium ranked from worst to best: 25. Ford Field

Do the Detroit Lions have the saddest fanbase of all time? Well, that distinction is one that can be spread across several franchises but the Lions are certainly in the discussion.

Presently, the Lions are over 100 games beneath the .500 mark in their franchise’s history. Their playoff record, unsurprisingly, is also under .500.

With so many L’s over the years, the Lions fans haven’t had much to cheer about, which makes them one of the least intimidating places to play. Also, to make matters worse, the building itself isn’t something to write home about. But, despite not having many distinguishing qualities, Ford Field does deserve credit for its location.

The stadium is conveniently positioned in the heart of downtown Detroit. So, when fans turn up for a few hours and watch their Lions get destroyed, they can escape through those doors and find themselves near the Greektown district. From there, they can either grab themselves a bite to eat or head to the casinos and hope that they hit something big on the slots.
