Fantasy Football waiver wire, Week 13: Pickups to win a championship
The 2021 fantasy football season is coming to a close, which means it’s time to make waiver claims that are going to help you win a championship.
The 2021 NFL season is just over halfway over, but the fantasy football playoffs are coming up quickly.
Are your rosters ready?
It’s time for some potentially championship-winning roster moves to be made. You’ve got to be shrewd this time of year, you’ve got to dig deep, and you’ve got to be bold.
Which moves are there to be made all the way in Week 13 of the NFL season that can change your playoff fortunes? We’ve got you covered.
Fantasy Football waiver wire, Week 13: Running backs
1. Alexander Mattison, Vikings
Although it might be unlikely in many leagues because Mattison was drafted in a lot of them, he’s available in an astounding near-40 percent of NFL.com fantasy leagues right now.
It’s worth checking after the recent injury suffered by Dalvin Cook if Mattison is available in your league in case someone hasn’t been hoarding a handcuff all season. Because it’s been a while since he produced, Mattison could be had on this week’s waiver wire as a priority add, but he does already have multiple 100-yard rushing games this season.
2. Chuba Hubbard, Panthers
The Carolina Panthers just can’t get a healthy Christian McCaffrey for any real extended period of time.
Still available in 46 percent of NFL.com fantasy leagues, Hubbard is in line for a lot of increased work down the stretch this season, and even with the Panthers on a bye this week, he should be a priority add.
3. Dontrell Hilliard, Titans
Hopefully, you took my advice to pick up Hilliard last week. If you didn’t he’s still available in a whopping 85 percent of NFL.com leagues.
I guess people weren’t buying into his huge workload coming up off the practice squad a couple of weeks ago. Maybe they will after he ran for 131 yards and a touchdown this past weekend.
4. Boston Scott, Eagles
Boston Scott has been very hit-or-miss over the last six weeks, but his hits are pretty big.
He’s available in just under 90 percent of NFL.com fantasy leagues, and we know the Eagles are going to heavily emphasize the running game.
With double-digit points in three of his last six games, Scott is absolutely worth a flyer with all of the running back injuries around the NFL.
