NFL Bold Prediction No. 14: D.K. Metcalf blows up in last two months, finishes with 20 TDs

This season hasn’t gone the way the Seattle Seahawks hoped it would. Even with Russell Wilson missing time due to a finger surgery, they didn’t expect to be 3-8 with five games left to play. But that’s where they are and another poor outing took place on Monday Night Football when they lost 17-15 to the Washington Football Team.

As frustrating as that loss was, there’s one player who is probably really unhappy with himself, D.K. Metcalf. The massive wide receiver ended up with just one reception for 13 yards which is well below what he expects from himself.

That’s why he will likely come out with a renewed focus this coming week when they host the San Francisco 49ers. A solid outing there should lead to an explosive performance the following weekend when they play the Houston Texans in a dome — where Metcalf will really be able to unleash his speed.

With those games getting him rolling, Metcalf will be able to finish on an incredibly high note, racking up 12 touchdowns in the final five games which would give him 20 on the season. Seattle might not be headed to the playoffs but they’re good enough to play spoiler and Metcalf will be a huge part of that.
