Chicago Bears (4-8) at Green Bay Packers (9-3)
Sunday, December 12, 8:20PM ET
At this point, the 2021 campaign seems like a lost cause for the Chicago Bears. Justin Fields has been solid but wildly inconsistent, and is now hurt. Andy Dalton hasn’t been any better. The defense is solid, but not nearly strong enough to carry this club.
It’s been the opposite story for the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers is still one of the very best in the NFL, and the offense is feeding off of his success. Just ask players like Davante Adams and A.J. Dillon, who have feasted all year long. And I haven’t even mentioned the Green Bay defense, which has quietly asserted itself as one of the league’s best.
If the Bears think they’re going to survive this one, they’ve got quite the surprise coming. Chances are it’s going to be a nightmare for the Chicago offense, which may not manage more than a touchdown or two. It’ll probably be the same situation for the Bears defense, which is going to have a hard time slowing down anything the Packers throw at it.
Despite some ups and downs, Green Bay is looking like one of the top contenders in the NFC at this moment. While I wouldn’t go as far as calling them the cream of the crop, it’s going to be hard to slow them down in the playoffs if they stay hot.
Prediction: Packers win 34-10 | Spread: Packers (-13)
