Right now, the Tennessee Titans need a confidence boost in the worst of ways. They’re bruised, battered and coming off a tough Week 12 loss. Luckily they just enjoyed a bye week and now welcome in the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have yet to win on the road in 2021.

Let’s just be honest — the Jaguars are awful. I’m honestly surprised they’ve managed two wins considering how devoid of talent their roster is. Even with Trevor Lawrence, the assumed next generational talent at quarterback, the offense has been stagnant and the defense isn’t good enough to keep games within reach.

As for the Titans, they’ve been limping along since Derrick Henry fell to injury. The defense is doing the best it can to keep things close, but the lack of offensive weapons has this squad hurting. Ryan Tannehill can only do so much on his own, but Tennessee thankfully won’t have to find the end zone too many times to take down the Jaguars.

It’s been a long first season for Urban Meyer in Jacksonville, and chances are it won’t improve much before it’s over. For the time being, I see another loss in the Jaguars’ future with a trip to Nashville looming. The Titans get the win and stay within reach of the AFC’s top seed.
