2021 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 14

Seattle Seahawks (4-8) at Houston Texans (2-10)

It’s time to stick a fork in the Houston Texans, right? They’ve had a few quality games this season, but they just got shut out and are clearly incapable of keeping things interesting on a weekly basis. While I’m still unsure of the Seattle Seahawks’ upside, this one seems pretty promising.

So I’m rolling with the Seahawks in this one. Russell Wilson finally looked like himself in Week 13, pulling off a surprise victory and keeping Seattle within reach of a playoff spot (oddly enough). Although it’s likely going to take winning out to reach the postseason, it’s not out of the question when this Seahawks squad is playing at full power.

The first step in reasserting themselves as a team worth taking seriously is beating the Houston Texans in Week 14. That seems about as close to a foregone conclusion as you can get, but the 2021 season has been wildly unpredictable. Anything is possible, especially when it comes to a team as bipolar as the Seahawks.

Still, this one seems to be leaning heavily in their favor. Wilson puts together another strong performance, and the Seattle defense stiffens up when it needs to. The Texans at least score in this one, but it’s not enough as they suffer another defeat as their 2021 campaign inches closer to its miserable end.
