2021 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 14

New York Giants (4-8) at Los Angeles Chargers (7-5)

At the beginning of the 2021 season, the expectations were relatively high for the New York Giants. They had a promising young quarterback, a solid defense, and more than enough talent to make some noise. Unfortunately for the franchise, that hasn’t been the case.

Instead, Jones has struggled in his third NFL season and Saquon Barkley hasn’t bounced back strong from his torn ACL. The New York defense has been solid at times, but has struggled to handle the extra pressure from the inept offense. Chances are rather slim they’re going to have similar issues against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Justin Herbert, while far from perfect, is in the middle of a sensational sophomore season. He’s been shredding secondaries all year long with the help of an outstanding supporting cast. As long as he stays on his current trajectory, things look good for this Chargers squad.

I’m not sure this one will become a blowout, but Los Angeles has a huge advantage here. Especially if Jones is sidelined again and Mike Glennon is under center, the Chargers could have this one in the bag before the fourth quarter begins.
