Cornerback. North Carolina. 3. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Storm Duck. player. 838

Not only do the Saints need players who can play on the outside on their offense, but they also need guys who can play on the outside in their defense as well. The cornerback group is similar to the receiver group in the fact that they have a single star player, with the receivers having Michael Thomas and the cornerbacks having Marshon Lattimore, but not much else besides their star player.

Duck has been a quality player so far for the Tar Heels, and one thing that bodes well for him going into the NFL is the fact that Duck has been used in a couple of different coverage schemes. One thing that stands out when you watch Duck is how intelligent he is as he knows understands leverage, understands run fits, and knows where he needs to be on the field at all times.

Duck isn’t the greatest CB prospect in the world, but he has the right mentality and ability to become a solid corner, plus he possibly has the greatest name in college football right now.

Other Players Considered: Isaiah Thomas, Tykee Smith, Coby Bryant

Edge. Isaiah Thomas. 815. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. 4. player. Scouting Report

I know some Saints fans might not be too excited with this pick, but hear me out. As sad as it is, Cameron Jordan isn’t getting any younger, and Marcus Davenport has struggled to stay healthy throughout most of his career, so why not add another young edge rusher.

Thomas fits the 4-3 scheme that the Saints tend to run and has the frame that the Saints would love. One thing that the Saints will also love is the fact that Thomas has multiple moves in his arsenal to beat his blocker. If the Saints can get Thomas to be more of an aggressive player, they may get a steal.

Other Players Considered: Tykee Smith, Coby Bryant, Zay Flowers
