No. 2: CB Rasul Douglas

This is where the list starts to hurt for the Green Bay Packers and their fans. Rasul Douglas has been the unsung hero for the Pack’s defense as the team found an absolute gem off of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad this season.

Given all of the injuries this group has suffered over the last 13 weeks of NFL action, nobody has stepped up quite like Douglas. Expected to come in as a filler player, Douglas was forced to become a starting corner for the Packers in the absence of Alexander and King at times.

Throughout the ’21 season, he’s allowed a reception percentage of 52.3% facing 44 targets and 258 receiving yards, 87 of which come after the catch. On top of this, Douglas is two for two when scoring after an interception, as good of a ratio as it gets.

Because he’s in a one-year prove-it deal, his performance this year warrants a significant contract extension in the summer, but due to salary-cap constraints, it’s unlikely that the Green Bay Packers will be the ones to give him one.

Let it be known that without Rasul Douglas, this secondary would have fallen apart following the injury to Jaire Alexander.
