The Dallas Cowboys could put some distance between themselves and their top rival in the NFC East but will need these 3 players to step up in order to do so

At 8-4, the Dallas Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East but the Washington Football Team is quickly catching up. Sitting at 6-6, Washington is in the midst of a four-game losing streak whereas Dallas just snapped a two-game skid.

Earlier in the season, it appeared the Cowboys would run away with the division but now it’s not a guarantee. And Week 14 looms large as a win puts them three games ahead while a loss closes the gap as the Football Team would be just one game behind America’s Team — while also having the ‘W’ in their back pocket.

That makes this a huge game for the Cowboys and they are going to need these three key players to step up in order to secure a win and put themselves in a position to run away with the NFC East.

You never wish an injury on an opponent, but the absence of Chase Young makes this Washington front line a lot less intimidating. He’s a difference-maker but to act as if there are no other players who can wreck the game plan would be foolish.

Montez Sweat can be a problem on the edge but when it comes to an interior pass rush, Jonathan Allen has been a problem for opponents this season. He leads the Football Team with 6.5 sacks on the season and there’s nothing that can ruin an offensive gameplan worse than interior pressure.

For the most part, Allen will be lined up across from Connor McGovern, who seems to be the new starting left guard. Sunday will offer a huge test for him as he takes on one of the better defensive tackles in the division.
