Dallas Cowboys bold prediction No. 3: Trevon Diggs gets No. 10

At this point, it doesn’t even really feel bold to predict Trevon Diggs is going to do something special. The second-year defensive back continues to make one huge play after another and entering Week 14, he already has nine interceptions.

He’s only two shy of the team record of 11 interceptions in a season. And while that crazy stretch of six games in a row with a pick was huge, he’s been more than just a player who happened to get hot for a minute.

During his rookie season, Diggs had three picks (all against the Philadelphia Eagles) but seemed to be just a split second away from at least five more. He’s the definition of a ball hawk and again this season has left a couple of picks on the field.

Having said all that, when the ball is put in the air, he believes it’s going to him and not the wideout. Throw in the fact that Taylor Heinicke has 11 interceptions in 11 starts this season and there’s bound to be at least one Diggs has a chance at taking away.

This prediction is that he gets into double-digits with his 10th interception of the season. He will need just one more to tie the franchise record, which would seem highly likely after this.
