FanDuel DFS NFL Week 14 picks and lineup advice: Tight End

I will start by saying that Travis Kelce ($7500) is way too cheap, and I will be auto-locking him into most of my lineups this week and building my lineups around him. However, in tournaments, there are still some other interesting plays at both high and low salaries.

George Kittle ($7100) went off last week and could easily be the TE1 again this week against a poor Bengals secondary as the primary target on this Niners offense.

Additionally, Rob Gronkowski ($7000) will probably find the end zone again this week and is catching passes at a rate comparable to any other tight end in this price range.

If you want to punt the position this week, the play for me is Ricky Seals-Jones ($4500). With Logan Thomas, unfortunately, getting reinjured last week, we should see a similar situation to last time where Seals-Jones stepped up as the Football Team’s tight end one. Against a poor Dallas secondary, he should easily be able to pay off this extremely cheap salary.

The best value play this week is easily the Broncos ($4400), against a Lions defense with no running backs, a makeshift wide receiver core, and a bottom-five quarterback. Coming off their super bowl win, I see the Lions barely reaching double-digit points this week against a very solid Denver defense.

The Browns ($4100) are also a sneaky play against a Ravens offense that has not hit twenty points in four straight games. With Lamar taking sacks left and right and throwing interceptions at an alarming rate, the Browns should be able to put up points this week.

For the ugly play of the week, the Falcons ($3500) are an awful defense but get to face the Cam Newton-led Panthers without Christian McCaffrey. I do not see how the Panthers score this game, and at only $3500, I do not mind the play.

While there are certainly some plays in this lineup that may make you wince when you read them, it is a very high upside tournament lineup. It is built around the Bucs versus Bills game, which I project to be the highest-scoring game of the week.

If those players hit, players like Kamara and Kelce should provide enough points for the lineup to cash out, where riskier plays like Guyton and Collins that come in with lower roster percentages could push the lineup to the top.
