2Q 1:16 – Defense Stops Lawrence to End 2-Minute Drill

At this point in the game, the Titans were only up 10-0 and 2-minute drills sometimes have the ability to spark an offensive revival for a struggling offense. This was not the case for the Jaguars, however.

After two unproductive plays, the Jaguars were in a third and seven situation on their own 43-yard line with a first down conversion only putting them 10 to 15 yards away from a field goal attempt.

The Titans lined up in an overloaded front. Meaning, they had three defensive linemen to the right of the center while leaving only one defensive lineman to the right. This presents a three on three look pre-snap.

However, defensive lineman Denico Autry looped around the entire pocket and pushed Lawrence up in the pocket. This then allowed the other defensive linemen to swarm and trip Lawrence up right as he crossed the line of scrimmage.

Once again, a creative front allowed the defense to get a key stop that kept the Jaguars off the scoreboard.
