Seattle Seahawks (5-8) at Los Angeles Rams (9-4)

Sunday, December 19, 4:25PM ET

Are the Los Angeles Rams finally hitting their stride? They were dominant at the start of the season, and then suffered a significant drop off as teams began figuring out how to slow down their aerial assault. Now it appears they’ve formulated a new plan, and it’s working.

Not only is their offense firing on all cylinders, but the defense is beginning to play up to its potential as well. Then again, things get much easier when you have a human wrecking ball like Aaron Donald in the middle of your defense. Just ask Murray and the Cardinals if you doubt me.

Despite all of that, you could say the Seattle Seahawks are also hitting their stride. They’ve won two in a row despite seemingly being ready for a fork to be stuck in them. Russell Wilson is looking like his former self, and even Rashad Penny is getting in on the fun. If only D.K. Metcalf could get out of his own head and start making the big plays he’s capable of making.

The Seahawks should have been a playoff team, but they dug themselves into too deep of a hole. And now they face a Rams team that is hungry for a shot at the top seed in the NFC. It’ll be closer than many expect, but Los Angeles still gets the win and improves to 10-4.

Prediction: Rams win 26-23 | Spread: Rams (-7)
