Las Vegas Raiders (6-7) at Cleveland Browns (7-6)

I think it’s time the Cleveland Browns took a page out of the New England Patriots playbook. They’ve got an exceptional group of running backs and a stout defense. Why not lean heavily on those two as they try to figure out what’s wrong with Baker Mayfield?

Mayfield hasn’t been playing great football as of late. Then again, he’s also been playing through injury, which is likely at least partly to blame for his deficiencies. While he heals and works through his issues, it would be best to focus on what the Browns do best on offense — run the football.

The Las Vegas Raiders aren’t exactly great at slowing the run, and keeping the ball out of Derek Carr‘s hands would be ideal. That’ll limit the Raiders’ offensive opportunities, and allow the Browns to control the time of possession. Then, the Cleveland defense should be able to do the rest with their elite pass rush and opportunistic secondary.

Early in the season, the Raiders looked like a legitimate playoff team. However, especially after getting blown out in Week 14, it’s looking like they should start preparing for the offseason. Cleveland gets the W and keeps their hopes of tasting the postseason alive.
