Tennessee Titans (9-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6-1)

Sunday, December 19, 1PM ET

I’m sorry, but I’m having the toughest time getting behind the Pittsburgh Steelers right now. As good as they can be at times, they’ve limped through much of this season. It’s clear they’re grown weary as the year has gone on, and I’m not sure they have the stamina to make the final push.

While the Tennessee Titans haven’t been nearly as impressive since Derrick Henry fell to injury, they’ve still kept pace with the rest of the AFC’s top dogs. Ryan Tannehill is playing well, and they’ve found a number of options to move the ball on the ground. Not having A.J. Brown hasn’t helped either, but at least Julio Jones is back in the mix.

The Pittsburgh defense is tough, but should still have trouble slowing down the Titans. More importantly, I foresee the Steelers struggling to move the ball against the Tennessee D. They’ve ramped up well over the first 14 weeks, and are nearly up to full speed. If they can pressure Ben Roethlisberger often, it’s going to be slow-rolling for the Steelers.

This should be an exciting game with some big-yardage plays and plenty of defensive fireworks. Both teams rack up the sacks, but a couple of key turnovers by Pittsburgh cost them the game. The Titans stay in the hunt for the top seed, while the Steelers get one step closer to an early offseason.

Prediction: Titans win 18-16 | Spread: Titans (-2)
