Washington Football Team (6-7) at Philadelphia Eagles (6-7)

Sunday, December 19, 1PM ET

Jalen Hurts is back in the mix, which should give the Philadelphia Eagles a boost despite the impressive performance from Gardner Minshew in Week 13. Coming off a bye helps as well, which leads me to believe the Eagles are going to hand the Washington Football Team another loss.

You never can tell with these NFC East matchups. Washington showed grit a week ago, nearly coming back after getting dominated by the Dallas Cowboys for the first three and a half quarters. However, they’re bruised and battered and their winning streak is over. Even against an Eagles team that’s struggled at home in 2021, D.C.’s odds seem slim.

With Hurts under center, Philadelphia’s offense figures to move without too much trouble. Washington’s defense has been solid at times this season, but will have a hard time keeping the athletic quarterback under wraps. I also can’t imagine the Football Team keeping pace considering their offense’s inconsistency this season.

Both of these squads are still within striking distance of the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. However, a loss here could be a death sentence with so much competition for that No. 7 seed. The Eagles earn the victory here and earn a much-needed divisional win.

Prediction: Eagles win 34-26 | Spread: Eagles (-4.5)
