NFL Power Rankings – Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill (17) is hit after he throws by Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Joe Schobert (93) during the second quarter at Heinz Field Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021 in Pittsburgh, Pa.Titans Steelers 073 /

10. team. 35. . . Previous: 8th. Tennessee Titans

With three regular season games left, I’m just not buying the Tennessee Titans as contenders, are you?

It’s a weird thought and feeling, because as of the time of this writing, it was mere hours ago that the Titans were in the driver’s seat of the number one seed in the AFC.

Now, they are 9-5, and they barely look like the best team in their division.

Heck, the Colts could probably beat the Titans at their own game right now with Jonathan Taylor running as well as he is.

A loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers has seemingly exposed the Titans just weeks before the playoffs begin.

9. team. 42. . . Previous: 12th. San Francisco 49ers

Is anyone else loving the San Francisco 49ers?

This team has really ascended in recent weeks with some really complete performances on both sides of the ball.

As the 49ers get healthy, this team looks more and more like the version we saw make it to the Super Bowl just two seasons ago.

The playmakers the 49ers have on offense are going to be tough for any defense to handle come playoff time, but the way this San Francisco defense played on Sunday against the Falcons with 10 hits on Matt Ryan was reminiscent of that 2019 NFC championship campaign.

Now at 8-6, the 49ers look like one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC.
