2022 NFL Free Agency: Players most likely to leave AFC South

Houston Texans: David Johnson, RB

You can really just look at the entire Houston Texans list of 2022 free agents and take your pick.

There are so few guys on this year’s roster that will be back in 2022.

Johnson was part of one of the worst trades in Houston Texans’ history. It’s not his fault that trade was made, but he’ll have to find work elsewhere in 2022.

Indianapolis Colts: Marlon Mack, RB

There were rumblings the Colts could try to trade Marlon Mack at the deadline. They didn’t, so now it’s a matter of where the former 1,000-yard back ends up in free agency.

He is still young, but will likely have to take a prove-it deal in 2022 to play for a bigger contract in 2023.

Jacksonville Jaguars: DJ Chark, WR

DJ Chark is one of the most dynamic young receivers in the league when healthy. The Jaguars would be wise to try and keep him but how will they do it? Will they franchise tag him coming off of a fractured left ankle?

It will be fascinating to see. They also have to deal with impending free agent left tackle Cam Robinson, who could just as easily be on this list.

Tennessee Titans: Jayon Brown, LB

It was a little surprising that Jayon Brown did not have more of a market in 2021 before ultimately re-signing with the Titans.

After the 2021 season, it could be that he takes another shot at the open market at the age of 27. He has an interception now in four straight seasons and is capable of playing solid coverage from the off-ball linebacker position.
