2022 NFL Free Agency: Players most likely to leave AFC East

Buffalo Bills: Emmanuel Sanders, WR

The Buffalo Bills have a veteran-laden roster and their addition of Emmanuel Sanders in the 2021 offseason was a smart one.

With that being said, the Bills need to clear the path for Gabriel Davis to get as many snaps as possible at wide receiver and making him the WR2 opposite Stefon Diggs should be a top priority in 2022.

Miami Dolphins: Will Fuller, WR

With just two games played and four receptions in the 2021 season, it seems likely the experiment with Will Fuller in Miami will be just a one-year rental.

Fuller has always had issues staying healthy, which is a shame because he’s such a game-changer when he’s able to play at full speed.

My guess is, he’s going to follow Deshaun Watson wherever he winds up in the 2022 offseason, which could actually be Miami.

New England Patriots: Dont’a Hightower, LB

The Patriots have maximized the value out of former first-round pick Dont’a Hightower, who has been a good player for them through an obviously great run of football for this franchise.

Bill Belichick loves his guys defensively, so that gave me some pause when putting Hightower on this list over other players. At the age of 32, the Patriots could look to get younger at the linebacker position in the 2022 offseason and they have other players like JC Jackson and Adrian Phillips to prioritize in the secondary.

New York Jets: Jamison Crowder, WR

Approaching his age 29 season and finishing up his third year with the New York Jets, it seems like a foregone conclusion that Jamison Crowder will be playing elsewhere in 2022.

The Jets should be looking into revamping their wide receiver room as a whole and making sure that they build around Elijah Moore, who should be the team’s WR1 going into next season.

Crowder has the ability to be a highly effective NFL slot receiver, but the Jets’ priorities will be elsewhere and I think Crowder is going to try to go somewhere with an established quarterback situation.
