NFL Free Agency fits: Chris Godwin, Davante Adams, Melvin Gordon
NFL free agency is always a fun and wild time. With key players being on the market, which teams will capitalize and make a move to the top?
NFL free agency is fun. Predictions are even better because they make someone look like Bill Nye the Science Guy or, on the other hand, not. NFL free agency is one of the most wonderful times of any sports’ off-season.
The NFL’s offseason is second to none.
NFL Free Agency Predictions: Chris Godwin, a WR1
Let’s be clear on one thing, Chris Godwin is a WR1 in the NFL. Set to be a free agent this off-season, the future is unclear. Godwin tore his ACL in the Week 15 matchup vs the Saints.
Set to miss most of the 2022 season, he might not be able to get the money he is looking for. Luckily, he was franchised tagged in the 2021 off-season.
At the end of the day, bet on yourself. Godwin can find his way to a team and possibly be able to come back for opening week depending on the recovery process.
Godwin is currently WR6 on the season. Although that will change, this is with Mike Evans on the other side of him. I truly believe Godwin can make his way to a team such as the Eagles, Bears, and Patriots.
Those three teams are in desperate need of a true WR1. DeVonta Smith is not there yet, the Bears are pretty much done with Allen Robinson and the Patriots have no identity when it comes to wideouts.
Godwin can make an instant impact on those teams and draw coverage away from the young wide-outs and give them a star receiver in his prime.
