Deshaun Watson an option to replace Russell Wilson with Seattle Seahawks?

Even though almost a year has gone by since Deshaun Watson first requested a trade away from the Houston Texans, it still feels a little too soon to be talking about him strictly in terms of football.

The sexual misconduct allegations against Watson are certainly not to be taken lightly, and there’s no guarantee that his situation will be any less cloudy in two or three months.

With that all being said, if Watson is able to get back to football sooner rather than later, you would have to think that he would be at or near the top of many lists for teams needing a new quarterback in 2022 as far as what he can do on the field.

He’s an MVP-caliber player at the age of 26, and even with his 2021 season lost, he would still give the Seattle Seahawks the opportunity to replace one star with another.

How would the Seahawks pull this off? They don’t have the draft capital at this particular point in time, obviously, but that could change as soon as they would pull the trigger on a deal involving Wilson.

The Seahawks have obviously not been linked to Watson up to this point at all, but if there was a vacancy at their quarterback position, that could change.

Watson would probably be thrilled about the prospect of throwing passes to the likes of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
