Option 4: Trade for Raiders QB Derek Carr

The 2022 offseason is going to be fascinating for a number of reasons, not the least of which is what the future might hold for Las Vegas Raiders starting quarterback Derek Carr.

The Raiders are obviously in the post-Jon Gruden era already, and Carr was clearly one of Gruden’s guys.

Even though there seemed to be rumors every year about Carr being traded or the Raiders trying to find upgrades, the team obviously stuck with Carr through it all and a big part of that was likely Gruden.

With Gruden gone and perhaps Mike Mayock also gone after this season, what kind of changes can be expected in Las Vegas?

Big ones.

Maybe a trade involving Derek Carr is on the horizon, and the Seahawks would make plenty of sense if they are also moving on from Russell Wilson.

Carr is a very solid starting quarterback in this league. The Raiders would likely be willing to trade him to Seattle (if they’re willing to trade him at all) given they play in the NFC.

The Seahawks might also be excited about this possibility if it means Davante Adams coming with Carr, something that has been discussed before.

Can you imagine Davante Adams, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett on the same squad?
