Washington grabs Biletnikoff finalist along with potential game-changer in Day 2 of 2022 Mock Draft

2. Second Round: David Bell, WR, Purdue

The Boilermakers had moments during this past season when they pulled off upsets against Iowa and Michigan State, both of who were among the Top 5 teams in the country. Instead of staying there, they were beaten by the young guns from West Lafayette that had a small weapon with a significant impact.

Let us meet the new Washington Football Team player, David Bell. The wide receiver was among college football’s game changers, as evidenced by becoming a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, ultimately won by Kenny Pickett’s teammate Jordan Addison. Bell made a compelling case, but now, it is all about translating to the next level.

Bell caught 53 passes for 625 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior. This past season, Bell had 93 catches for 1,286 yards and six scores, averaging 13.8 yards per catch. At 6’2″, Bell has the size to be a game-changer in the league.

Just imagine him alongside Curtis Samuel and the ever so dangerous Terry McClaurin. If he teams up with those men with Pickett as his new franchise quarterback, there is the potential for Washington’s to be so explosive, giving their defense more opportunities to rest and come out fresh against their opponents.
