Trade: Washington sends their 2023 third-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for a 2023 third and 2023 fifth-round pick.

3. Third Round via trade: Christian Harris, LB, Alabama

Washington secures another draft pick to land another good player by moving down with the Las Vegas Raiders. After the minor maneuver, they focus their attention in the third round on a defensive player that is slipping right into their laps—Alabama linebacker Christian Harris.

Very rarely does an athlete of Harris’ caliber goes unnoticed. Somehow, he fell down the board, yet Washington pounces at the chance to take him, and they got an extra pick in the process. Moreover, he has an opportunity to start right away alongside Jamin Davis.

Head coach Ron Rivera prides himself on having smart and physical linebackers, and Davis fits the bill. Over three seasons in Tuscaloosa, Harris has over 200 tackles and 100 solo-based. To make it short, this guy knows how to find the football. Though he is more of a run stopper, he is not afraid to adapt on the fly, and Washington’s staff should have no problem coaching him up.

Also, Harris joins Jonathan Allen and Da’Ron Payne as former Crimson Tide players in the nation’s capital. The latter duo has undoubtedly been impactful for D.C., so what’s to say Harris can’t join in on the fun. With a bit of refined technique, Harris has the potential to be a game-changer in the league for a long time.

Next up, Day 3, where Washington goes after impact players and uses the acquired pick on a potential steal.
