2021 NFL Power Rankings Week 17: Chiefs, Cowboys lock up division, Browns fall apart

30. New York Giants
New York Giants fans have to be beyond frustrated. Not only is their team now 4-11 following a 34-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but reports are also coming out saying the team plans to stick with Daniel Jones at quarterback and Joe Judge as their head coach.
Jones has been out recently but even when he was under center, the offense left a lot to be desired. Even worse, their wide receivers continue to be a problem, even after paying Kenny Golladay a boatload of cash in the offseason. Then again, Judge was a receiver coach in New England before coming to New York and his receivers were pretty bad there too, so it’s not really a shocker.
It’s hard to believe things will get better down the stretch and if they bring this same staff back, 2022 could also be rough.
29. Houston Texans
The Houston Texans delivered the upset of the week as they took it to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Now at 4-11, the Texans aren’t playing for anything other than pride and a couple of players really stood out.
First was Davis Mills who was 21-of-27 passing with two touchdowns. Rex Burkhead also balled out with 149 yards and two scores on 22 rushing attempts. Not to be outdone, Houston’s defense also played well with Tavierre Thomas and Jonathan Owens each picking off Justin Herbert — with Thomas taking it back for six.
Many of these players are trying to fight for a spot on the team in 2022 and this outing allowed them to put some solid tape out there against a quality opponent.
