2021 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 17
Arizona Cardinals (10-5) at Dallas Cowboys (11-4)
Sunday, January 2, 4:25PM ET
I’m sorry to say this, but the Arizona Cardinals appear to be caught in a tailspin they aren’t going to pull out of. They may have already sewn up a playoff spot, but it’s not looking promising for them to make noise once the postseason begins.
I can’t say the same for the Dallas Cowboys, who are riding high after a Sunday night shellacking of their division rivals. Any mentions of a Dak Prescott slump have subsided, and it’s clear the Cowboys are one of the frontrunners in a loaded NFC. Can they keep the streak alive in Week 17 with the Cardinals coming to town?
It would appear that way. Earlier in the year, I would have said the Cardinals had this one in the bag, especially given their success on the road. However, they’ve sputtered down the stretch, having lost their last three games — including one against the hapless Lions. There’s something wrong with this team, and I don’t see it being solved suddenly.
The Cowboys welcome the Cardinals into AT&T Stadium and swiftly show them the door. I don’t think it’ll be quite the walloping they dealt the Football Team, but I don’t see this ever being too tight of a contest. Things aren’t looking good when it comes to Arizona’s short-term future.
Prediction: Cowboys win 37-21 | Spread: Cowboys (-5.5)
