The Dallas Cowboys take a surprise pick in the first round of our latest 2022 seven-round NFL Mock Draft as they add another offensive weapon

Entering January, the Dallas Cowboys are in a great spot. They’re currently 11-4 and just put on a clinic against the Washington Football Team.

A 56-14 win was the result of all three phases of the game coming together – something we hadn’t seen happen to this point in the season. Dallas now has the NFC East locked up and is still going after the Green Bay Packers who have the No. 1 seed in the conference.

While the Cowboys are focused on catching head coach Mike McCarthy’s former team, we can look ahead to the offseason and make some predictions with this seven-round 2021 mock draft.

Dallas Cowboys Round 1 Pick: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

This year, Dan Quinn has done wonders with the Cowboys defense. They’re playing better than they have in recent memory, and for the first time in decades, they’re actually creating turnovers.

Even with all that being said, there are a couple of spots that could stand to be upgraded, with defensive tackle standing out. For that reason, they use this pick on Jordan Davis from Georgia.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 340-pounds, Davis is an absolute load in the middle of the defense. Some will view him as a two-down lineman, which is why someone so talented could end up sliding to Dallas. If he does, they should pounce at the chance to add the biggest and best D-tackle in the class.
