2022 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys take unexpected offensive weapon
By Randy Gurzi
9. Washington Football Team: Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M
One thing the Washington Football Team cannot do is head into the draft thinking they have a shot with Taylor Heinicke. One thing they probably will do is head into the draft thinking they have a shot with Taylor Heinicke.
If that ends up being the case, they’ll pass on a potential starting quarterback and will surely cite the failures of Robert Griffin III and Dwayne Haskins as reasons for this. The good news? They can still get a strong prospect, which they do here as they take Kenyon Green from Texas A&M.
Green can play both guard and tackle and in Washington, would likely be a starter at tackle from day one.
10. Minnesota Vikings: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
Kirk Cousins was brought in to help the Minnesota Vikings compete with the Green Bay Packers and that didn’t really happen. Now, they could be looking at a massive overhaul with head coach Mike Zimmer likely on the way out.
Should that happen, a new coach is going to want his guy and that leads to the selection of Malik Willis at No. 10 in our 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Willis is an electric playmaker who broke out with Liberty after transferring from Auburn.
He would have a plethora of weapons to work with in Minnesota, which would only help his chances of success at the next level.
