2022 NFL mock draft – Derek Stingley Jr makes a tackle as The LSU Tigers take on Central Michigan Chippewas in Tiger Stadium. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021. /

Derek Stingley. 15. 55. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. LSU. player

15. Pittsburgh Steelers: Derek Stingley, CB, LSU

With Ben Roethlisberger openly discussing his future beyond football, the Pittsburgh Steelers are likely going to need a new quarterback in 2022. They’re unable to land one of their top picks in this class with Desmond Ridder coming off the board one pick before they’re up.

Instead of reaching for a lesser talent, they elect to give Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins a shot to prove they can get it done. And in an effort to help them succeed, they improve the defense by adding Derek Stingley from LSU.

The top cornerback in the class, Stingley falls far in this mock simply due to teams addressing other needs. For Pittsburgh, that ends up being a huge victory since he’s a top-10 talent.

Scouting Report. Alabama. Jameson Williams. Pick Analysis. WR. 16. player. 28

16. Las Vegas Raiders: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

This season has been a whirlwind for the Las Vegas Raiders but their players and coaching staff have been doing everything they can to keep them in the race. Looking forward, the Raiders need to add more talent at wide receiver, which they do by adding Jameson Williams from Alabama.

He transferred from Ohio State to get more playing time and that proved to be a smart move as he took off in 2021 for the Crimson Tide. Now he joins his former teammates Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson as top-20 picks.
