Washington Football Team (6-10) at New York Giants (4-12)

Sunday, January 9, 1PM ET

Hey, look at that! One of the few games with zero playoff implications. The Washington Football Team was still in the mix as of Week 17, but their loss to the Eagles put their slim hopes to bed. Now they’ll just be playing for pride when they visit the New York Giants in Week 18.

So really, this one doesn’t matter. I’m sure both teams will come out look to end the season on a positive note, so hopefully fans will at least get some solid football to watch before the 2021 campaign comes to an end for these clubs. Considering the way the Giants have been playing though, it might get ugly.

Since Mike Glennon took over under center, the Giants have been a dumpster fire. They can’t create points even against subpar competition, and their defense hasn’t done anything to help the cause. While the Football Team has also been underwhelming, they’re the far superior team coming into the final weekend of the regular season.

Washington gets the win as Taylor Heinicke and the rest of the offense produce enough points to outscore Glennon and Co. Not that it means anything in the outcome of the season, but at least the Giants remain near the top of the 2022 NFL Draft order.

Prediction: Washington wins 26-13 | Spread: Washington (-6.5)
